The Temple Chamber of Commerce Public Policy Council in partnership with BKV Corporation, invites business and community leaders to join us for an Update from Bell County on Tuesday, August 25, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, at the Hilton Garden Inn – Temple. This luncheon will feature Bell County Judge David Blackburn, who will provide an update on the priorities, initiatives, and issues impacting our regional business community.
BKV Corporation is a forward-thinking energy company with operations spanning natural gas production, midstream infrastructure, power generation, and carbon capture. Through its Temple I and Temple II power plants, BKV plays an important role in meeting Central Texas' growing energy needs while supporting the region's expanding economy.
As the County’s chief executive officer, Judge Blackburn oversees a county government serving more than 1,300 employees and managing an annual budget exceeding $200 million. During the luncheon, he will share insights into Bell County’s current priorities and the opportunities and challenges facing one of Texas’ fastest-growing regions.
In addition to his remarks, Judge Blackburn plans to introduce several director-level members of the County’s leadership team who have assumed key roles in recent years following retirement and organizational transitions. Attendees will have the opportunity to become acquainted with the individuals leading Bell County’s day-to-day operations and learn more about the work taking place to serve residents and businesses.
If timing allows, Judge Blackburn will also discuss legislative items the County is watching as preparations begin for the upcoming 90th Texas Legislature.
