Off the Interstate by Emmi Hasselbach
Jan 16 - Feb 27
Closing Reception: Feb 27, 2026
Exhibition Description: After moving into the family trailer, which has housed four generations, Hasselbach began to explore the connection between past & present. She uses halftone screen prints derived from manipulated family photos framed by windows & the original door to invite the views to reflect on their own past.
Bio: Emmi Hasselbach is an interdisciplinary artist and printmaker whose work explores themes of architecture, memory, and materiality through traditional and experimental printmaking techniques, often merging analog processes with sculptural forms. She earned her BFA in Studio Art from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and is currently working on her MFA in Printmaking at Stephen F. Austin State University. She draws from the multigenerational spaces she has lived in, using houses as symbols of belonging and shared history. Emmi's goal is to celebrate the architecture of everyday life and the stories it holds.
