Nonprofit Organizations Clinics Healthcare
Temple Community Clinic was established in 1992 through a Leadership Temple project with the support of local physicians and community leaders. These leaders and physicians witnessed too many working people who were without proper healthcare due to eligibility or prohibitive cost. They could not stand to see their neighbors suffer, so they created a solution.
For over 30 years, through the hearts of volunteers and the generosity of community supporters, the Temple Community Clinic has filled the gap in access to healthcare for Bell County. Although there have been changes, not EVERYONE can access the care they need. Even with the Affordable Care Act, many make too little to qualify for the subsidies and/or too much to qualify for Medicaid. With these circumstances, the compassion of Temple Community Clinic is as important as ever.
