Thomas started his accounting career with KPMG, one of the Big Four accounting firms, where he specialized in tax compliance and consulting for large businesses and real estate companies. He later joined Maxwell Locke & Ritter, the largest Austin CPA firm, where he expanded his expertise to include small businesses and individuals. 

In 2022, Thomas Cooper CPA PLLC was founded to serve the tax and financial needs of the Central Texas area locally, as well as all Texas residents through virtual services.
