Temple Chamber Joins National Coalition Supporting the Prove It Act of 2025
The Temple Chamber of Commerce has joined chambers and business organizations from across the country in support of H.R. 1163, the Prove It Act of 2025, legislation aimed at strengthening protections for small businesses within the federal regulatory process.
The legislation seeks to improve transparency and accountability in federal rulemaking by requiring agencies to more thoroughly evaluate the direct and indirect economic impacts proposed regulations may have on small businesses and other small entities. Key provisions of the bill include expanding opportunities for small business input earlier in the rulemaking process, strengthening compliance with the Regulatory Flexibility Act, and improving consistency in regulatory analysis and decision-making.
The Temple Chamber joined a national coalition led by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce urging passage of the legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives. The coalition letter states the bill would help “bring more transparency to the true costs of red tape on America’s innovators, job creators, and community builders.”
The Temple Chamber’s support aligns with its legislative priorities focused on fostering a competitive business climate, supporting entrepreneurship, reducing unnecessary administrative burdens, and advocating for policies that strengthen small business success.
As part of the coalition effort, chambers of commerce and business organizations from across the country signed onto the letter, including the Temple Chamber of Commerce and several Texas-based organizations.
