Temple Chamber Leadership Announces Promotion to Strengthen Membership Strategy
The Temple Chamber of Commerce has announced the promotion of Bobbie Jo Young to Vice President of Membership Development, reflecting a strategic investment in strengthening the Chamber’s core Membership function.
In this expanded role, Young will lead the Chamber’s Membership strategy, with responsibility for Member growth, engagement, and retention. The position also includes oversight of the Chamber’s sales function and a focused effort on enhancing the first-year Member experience, an area identified as a key priority within the organization’s long-term strategic plan.
“Membership remains the foundation of the Temple Chamber’s work,” said Whitney Theriot, President & CEO of the Temple Chamber of Commerce. “This role represents a shift from managing Membership activity to leading a comprehensive strategy centered on growth, retention, and long-term Member value.”
Young has been with the Chamber since 2021, most recently serving as Director of Membership Development. During her tenure, she has played a key role in strengthening Member engagement and contributing to the growth and stability of the Chamber’s Membership base.
“Bobbie Jo has grown into this role over time, taking on increased responsibility and continuing to step forward when it matters,” Theriot added. “This next step reflects the trust and confidence I have in her to lead this work forward and continue building meaningful value for our Members.”
